This has to be the least amount of evidence ever, a few shots of Barry from the game - one in which he still scored 20. He's well respected by anyone with genuine knowledge of the game.

Chris Bosh is about 30 spots too low. Swap him with Pau Gasol. Gasol should be grateful to make the top 100; his achievements came in a decade where excellent centers were mostly absent, allowing a moderately skilled 7'1'' player to look better. Bosh was both a better 5 (particularly as a stretch 5, a position Erik Spoelstra created for him) and a better PF. Bosh was one of the greatest 2-way players ever. He changed how teams play defense.

You made some very good points, about Chicago's defense and number of games played, though Isiah was missing time with his hurt hand, Laimbeer was wearing a mask and Salley with goggles. I always joked, that seeing Laimbeer with a mask and Salley with goggles in 91, is what weakened the Pistons, without they were dangerous and a favorable team to win it all, especially with Laimbeer without the mask and Salley with a little box on his head, with it they repeated, without it, they didn't win. But as far as the Bulls go, to me I will always feel that the Bulls the year before being pushed to 7, is what pushed them in 91, they took the Pistons to the limit, and when that happens, the next stop is to beat them, cause you figured them out and use to them now, so entering the 90-91 season, they were ready and by the time the Conference Finals started, they knew what to do, the year before they won all their home games in the 90 Eastern Conference Finals, in 91 that experience help them in the first 2 games of 91 Eastern Conference Finals, then by the time they got to Detroit, they were prepared for the physical play, and the 91 Bulls had the mental toughness to not let it bother them, the 88, 89 and 90 Bulls let the physical play bother them, the 91 team didn't let it bother them, they were mentally tougher than the 3 previous Bulls teams, also the reason they beat Detroit was cause they had a better record, homecourt advantage and won the regular season series, so I think a combination of all these things are the reason the Bulls got by Detroit, it was their time to get by them.

Nobody talks about how Air Jordan jumped so high over everybody and hung in the air while his defenders hit the floor. This gave Jordan a huge advantage that Nobody talks about. He was able to change his shot 2 or 3 times in the air. Jordan would've jumped over LeBron, Kobe, or anybody. Lebrons vertical jump is listed at 44". I find this very hard to believe as his son Bronnys height was listed at 6'4" when Bronny is ONLY 6'1"....When it comes to LeBron or any of his people, the media lies to make it seem like Lebron is so great. Jordan is the greatest period.

To be fair, the Rockets were up and coming in 1993 and they weren't significantly healthy in 96 (the year Seattle was the best West team). Once the Rockets got Barkley in the trade did they finally beat Seattle in the playoffs.

They "beat" Hakeem when Hakeem had injured or missing starters in the second half of rhe 80s. What about 1996 when Hakeem teammates missed almost 150 games. Funny how this always gets skipped. The best you can say is 1993 and even that one has doubt due to questionable calls by Dick Bavetta. Plus we saw the true version of the Sonics in 1994 and 1995. Yet hey let's pretend none of this happen.

    • @housepumpinpc3983

@JamesHardenoverKobe13 nah bro. Kemp was drafted in 89. The decade was over. Gary Payton was drafted in 90. Seattle wasn't jack UNTIL the 90s. And the Sonics were an enigma. 1st top seed to lose to an 8 seed, then go to finals. But they seemed to have the Rockets number.

When I think of the best players in NBA history, I go with team and team composition. A bit different than most, but I think since it's a team sport it's probably more appropriate. Starting Five: PG: Magic Johnson SG: Michael Jordan SF: Larry Bird PF: Hakeem Olajuwon C: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Combination of dominant post work and defense, interior passing, perimeter shooting, and an ability by all players to move and play without the ball make this the best combination I believe. I do not have LeBron in my starting 5 because he is so ball-dominant that unless he's surrounded by elite shooters that will wait on the wings for him to pass them the ball, his effectiveness is significantly diminished. Bird has nearly as many defensive accolades and is a far superior rebounder and shooter, and can pass as effectively without dominating the ball like LeBron does. I don't have Wilt or Russell in my top 5 because I believe they both are two halves of the whole that Kareem put together. Dominant offense with dominant defense. And I have Hakeem because I believe he's got the best post footwork of all time, plus he was an absolute defensive monster. He was also the only all time great to win a title without a top 75 player next to him (1993-1994) other than Kobe Bryant (2008-2010) if I recall correctly.
